Melt Bolt RTD
MPI manufactures a variety of melt bolt RTDs (resistance temperature detectors) to measure the polymer processing temperature.
Thanks to their simple, rugged design, our A400 series RTDs are the most common design used in polymer processing.
Because they can be adjusted while the polymer is molten, A40A series RTDs are used to measure temperatures at different depths.
With sensing tips that are thermally isolated from the barrel with ceramic insulators, A40C series RTDs provide highly accurate temperature measurement.
Our A40B series RTDs are used in applications where measurement is required at a greater depth than the A400 Series can normally accommodate. A flat, tapered provides excellent lateral strength, and these RTDs can be easily positioned to minimize drag caused by plastic flow.
