Standard melt pressure transmitters from MPI are based on the original 50-year-old design. This design utilizes a mercury-filled capillary system that transmits pressure from the main process diaphragm to a secondary diaphragm. A reliable 350ohm Wheatstone Bridge strain gauge, mounted on the second diaphragm, measures deflection caused by changes in pressure and generates an electrical signal proportional to the process pressure. Our melt pressure transmitters utilize amplified signals most often associated with PLC systems.
An internal Rcal transistor mounted to the strain gauge enables easy calibration of 80% of full scale.Request a quote on the melt pressure transmitter you need. Contact MPI for more information.
